A WIND ADVISORY is in effect across the Mid State for the same time period. It’s already a soggy start to our day, and plenty more rain will come this afternoon and this evening. Be on the lookout for flooding in poor drainage areas, ponding on roadways, and the chance of reduced visibility in heavier pockets of rain.

First Alert Weather Day: Helene expected to be Category 3 as it makes landfall late Thursday
Local impacts will be flooding and gusty winds. Areas along and west of I-65 could pick up rain totals between 3-5 inches. Wind gusts will be nearing 35 mph.
