John Higgins thrashed Oli Lines 6-0 to reach the final of the British Open, where he'll seek to become the oldest winner of a ranking event since the late Ray Reardon in 1982.

Selby overcame Mark Allen 6-3 in a tight semi-final clash to book his spot in the final for the second consecutive year. The world No. 5 was beaten by Mark Williams in the 2023 final but heads into this afternoon's event in good form and will be hopeful that he can land the title for the first time in his career.

John Higgins booked his place in the final of the British Open with a 6-0 triumph over Oliver Lines. Higgins fell out of the world's top 16 after 29 years in the elite bracket on Monday, but has bounced back in superb style and is one win away from a fifth British Open crown after proving much too good for Lines in Cheltenham.
