With the playoffs no longer a possibility, the Seattle Mariners will rest many of their regular starters for a game against the Oakland Athletics on Friday.

Everybody said goodbye to Oakland Athletics baseball in their own way Thursday afternoon. After 57 seasons at the Coliseum -- and decades of indecision and vitriol swirling around the team's future -- the A's played their final game in Oakland in front of a massive crowd on a bright and gorgeous Bay Area afternoon.
