Friends are rallying around the family of a Troy 18-year-old who was killed in the weekend mass shooting at Tuskegee University. La’Tavion Johnson was a recent graduate of Charles Henderson High School and was looking forward to starting a new job next week with the Alabama Department of Transportation.

"Students are our greatest asset, and we will do everything possible to protect them," the university's president said.
