Geno Smith's knee injury forced him out of action Sunday night and appeared serious enough to cause legitimate concern entering Week 16. As time has passed, though, things have taken a turn toward optimism.

Seattle Seahawks starting quarterback Geno Smith suffered a knee injury in a blowout Week 15 primetime defeat to the Green Bay Packers. Smith exited the contest and was replaced by backup signal caller Sam Howell.

Smith had another uneven performance in the Seahawks’ loss to the Vikings on Sunday, adding to his middle-of-the-road showing on the whole this year.
