The maker of Lactaid Milk is recalling five varieties of refrigerated milk because they may contain trace amounts of almond that are not listed on the labels -- a potential danger for consumers with allergies.

Several types of Lactaid milk have been voluntarily recalled across 27 states including New Jersey due to a potential allergen, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced.

The FDA has warned that people with an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds could have a reaction if they drink Lactaid from this time range in September.
