Atletico Madrid picked up momentum ahead of the derby against Real Madrid with a 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo thanks to Julián Álvarez’s 90th-minute winner in the Spanish league.

A cagey affair remained scoreless midway through the second half when Jan Oblak produced a superb reflex save to deny Iago Aspas. But Julián Alvarez snatched maximum points at the end of normal time to rack up maximum points ahead of Sunday’s Madrid derby.
