Nearly 450,000 pickup trucks and SUVs from GM are being recalled in the United States as their low brake fluid warning light may not work. Although GM says affected vehicles will still meet stopping-distance requirements in the event of a brake fluid leak, vehicles still need to be fixed.

General Motors has issued a recall for 449,671 full-size SUVs and trucks due to a brake fluid issue. The recall is related to a glitch in the electronic control module that may fail to illuminate the check brake fluid light in the instrument cluster in case of a leak or compromise to the brake fluid.

Recalled vehicles include recent models of the Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Silverado, Chevy Suburban, Chevy Tahoe, GMC Sierra and GMC Yukon.

GM is recalling 450,000 2023 and 2024 trucks and SUVs of varying models due to a faulty brake fluid light apparently caused by a computer issue that doesn't relay the necessary information.

The NHTSA said the recall includes the Cadillac Escalade, the Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, and Suburban, and GMC's Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL models.
