The Muscle Shoals Police Department (MSPD) says an officer-involved shooting took place in the city Sunday evening.

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. — Muscle Shoals Police Department confirmed an officer-involved shooting incident took place Sunday evening. In a brief statement posted to their Facebook account just after 7 p.m., police said the incident took place on Tuxedo Avenue, just west of Gattman Park.

A man is dead and an investigation was opened after an officer-involved in Muscle Shoals Sunday evening. The Muscle Shoals Police Department confirmed the death on Monday. They said the man was taken to Helen Keller Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
