CBI arrested 26 cybercriminals across India for operating illegal call centers, defrauding victims globally, mainly in the US, in a major crackdown.

The accused persons were nabbed from Pune, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, while investigation and questioning on the role of other workers at these illegal call centers is ongoing.

The CBI has arrested 26 alleged cybercriminals in a multi-state crackdown on organised cybercrime. Raids were conducted at 32 locations across Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Visakhapatnam. The operation led to the seizure of Rs 58.
