Argentina's soccer association (AFA) said on Friday that FIFA suspended goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez for two matches of South American World Cup qualifying in October.

Martinez will miss Argentina's next South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup against Venezuela and Bolivia in October.

FIFA is set to announce the venues for the 2025 Club World Cup on Saturday at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City, world soccer's governing body said Friday. The tournament will take place from June 15 to July 13 next year across eight stadiums in the United States.
