“He’s in the same line with the guys they’ve had in the past,” Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said. “Super quick, talented, confident with the ball, great ball skills, great quickness. He’s a track athlete that was elite as a junior, and then he comes out and he’s already performing at a high level.”

Georgia football coach Kirby Smart already knew who Ryan Williams was before the Bulldogs started preparing for Alabama. On the SEC Coaches Teleconference during Georgia's off week, Smart called Williams "extremely talented" and a "delightful personality" and someone the Bulldogs targeted on the recruiting trail.

Williams, a 6-foot, 175-pound freshman wide receiver, leads Alabama with 10 catches for 285 receiving yards. He has secured four of quarterback Jalen Milroe's eight touchdown passes, and is the only wide receiver to have multiple scores.
