A24 has dated “Queer” and “The Brutalist” for the fourth quarter of this year, officially confirming each film for the 2025 awards race. The studio acquired both epic dramas around this year’s Venice Film Festival,

The Brutalist received a 13-minute standing ovation at Venice where Corbet won the Silver Lion for Best Director. The three-year-plus feature, which includes an intermission, was shot in VistaVision and presented at the Venice and Toronto Film Festival in 70 mm. It is also part of the official selection for the New York Film Festival.

Queer directed by Luca Guadagnino will open in limited release on November 27. Daniel Craig stars in the William S. Burroughs adaptation as a lonely, gay expatriate in 1950s Mexico City who becomes infatuated with a new arrival on the scene, played by Drew Starkey.

A24 has set a prime awards-season release date for Brady Corbet's The Brutalist, starring Adrien Brody, Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones.
